How to Uninstall FileMaker from Your Computer

Mac

  1. Quit FileMaker completely.
  2. Open Finder and go to Applications.
  3. Find and delete the FileMaker folder.
  4. Remove related files from the following locations:
    • ~/Library/Application Support/FileMaker/
    • ~/Library/Preferences/ (remove FileMaker-related preference files)
    • ~/Library/Caches/ (remove FileMaker-related cache files)
  5. Empty the Trash.

Windows

  1. Close FileMaker completely.
  2. Open Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a program.
  3. Find FileMaker in the list, select it, and click Uninstall.
  4. Delete any leftover files from the following locations:
    • C:\Program Files\FileMaker\
    • C:\ProgramData\FileMaker\
    • %localappdata%\FileMaker\
    • %appdata%\FileMaker\

After uninstalling, follow the Installing Onroute guide to reinstall.
